One day every dog will be a happy dog
Rehoming abused and abandoned dogs

In the UK, estimates suggest there are over 7 million dogs. Whilst most are cared for by their adopted owners, some people abuse the loyally and trust freely given by 'mans best friend'. Abandoned and abused, some dogs are victims to the darker side of human nature, sadly believing that this is how life with a human is. Thanks to Happy Dogs, many dogs are saved from a life of distress and abuse and given the love, attention and home that every dog deserves. Happy Dogs is a registered charity our aims are to:-

  • Aid animals and dogs in distress through injury or any other cause, and to arrange veterinary treatment where necessary;
  • Find good and suitable new homes for dogs in our care or that come to our attention;
  • Provide assistance to members of the public by means of information, education or in any way whatsoever that will enable them to directly aid animals needing treatment or help.

Max The Dax - Appeals For Wheels:

Hi my name is Max everyone calls me Max the Dax. I joined the permanent residents at the Sanctuary some six years ago now..couldn"t walk properly by back end wobbled all over the place. Had a big back op and for several years everything was fine until about six months ago and my back legs started to refuse to do what they were told. Lyn said "Don"t worry we"ll manage, there will always be a place for you here" but it"s not much fun trying to pull yourself around on disobedient back legs.

Some kind Lady gave Lyn a "cart" for me but it was too high, she had had it for a poodle and my legs are much shorter you see. I really liked the idea though and feel that if I had one that fitted me properly it would great I could dash about with the other dogs again and be "normal" because there is nothing wrong with me anywhere else. Can you help with a little "cart" that you think might fit Max the Dax could they give Lyn a ring on 01425 477676 or 01425 478260 or if you can help me in any other way I would be most grateful and so will Lyn I know Hope to hear from someone soon Yours in hope Max the Dax
