Twilight Dogs can still win prizes!

We thought you might like to see a few pictures of Tilly, a lovely little Twilight Yorkie dog who is happily living with Kath and Mike Skinner.  Tilly and her fosterers were at this year's Dog Show where she won first prize in one of the classes.  It just goes to prove age is no barrier!

Lucky Treats For All.

We were nominated to receive a donation of 20 packets of Beautiful Joe's Ethical Liver Treats by Forest Fm as part of a local radio promotion.
Honey's Real Dog Food Company is a family-owned artisan dog food producer based in Pewsey, Wiltshire and the things that are important to us are natural feeding, farm animal welfare, and the environment.
Beautiful Joe's was started because they wanted to do something for dogs in need. Most rescue homes can't afford to buy any treats for the dogs they look after, let alone air-dried, pure liver treats. So, every time someone buys a packet of Beautiful Joe's Perfectly Behaved Liver Treats we give the same quantity of treats away to a canine rescue home nominated by our customers. The free treats we give away are mostly used to train the rescue dogs so that it is easier for them to find new, forever homes.

Everyone here says THANK YOU WOOF WOOF YUM-YUM!!

Forthcoming Fundraising Events

We will be at the following locations during the summer - if you're in the area our hardworking volunteers and their dogs would love to see you.

Saturday 23rd September The Meeting House, Ringwood, 10.00am to 3.00pm

Stephanie's Wing Walk

We would like to introduce you to the Daredevil Steph!  This very lovely, (but slightly mad!) lady adopted Ollie last year, and more recently also adopted Lolly as a companion for him.  Steph has decided she would like to raise funds for Happy Dogs and has chosen to do a Wing Walk - yes, a Wing Walk!  It's as crazy as it sounds!  She completed this AMAZING adventure on 9th August at RFC Rendcomb Airfield, Cirencester.

Here is a note from Steph telling you a little more about it:

This is Ollie who had been lucky enough to end up with Lyn at Happy Dogs Rescue when he found himself unwanted. With Lyn’s love and care he eventually overcame his emotional problems. We had sadly lost our dog to a brain tumour and turned to Lyn as we wanted to adopt another dog who needed a loving home. It was love at first sight and our lives are again complete thanks to Lyn and Happy Dogs. Sadly, so many dogs find themselves unloved and unwanted but with people like Lyn there will always be a loving home for them, but this doesn’t come cheap so I am doing a sponsored Wing Walk to raise much needed funds. Wing Walking is standing on top of an airplane and flying at speeds in excess of 130mph with fly bys, dives, zooms and banks. Not for the faint-hearted, and I guess at my age I should know better! But knowing I am doing something to help is the only incentive I need. Please support me by pledging direct to Happy Dogs. On behalf of all the dogs in Lyn’s care, and all the future dogs she will take in, a very big thank you.

We will be doing everything we can to support Steph in this amazing caper, and would be very, very grateful if you could too.  Happy Dogs now has a Just Giving page, which can be found at,

so if you can see your way to making a donation, however small, Steph will be delighted and all the four leggeds at the Sanctuary will be very grateful.

Thank you!

And this is what it's all about......
